Vietnam 2011 ; Day 2

The next day we went for the Mekong River Cruise. Honestly, I don't know what it was. But basically the whole day we spend in a boat. Haha. Before the tour we had our breakfast at Halal@Saigon again ! (:

So after breakfast we went straight to the jetty.

 Our first stop is the floating market. Well it is a floating market. Since we came late theres nothing left already. This floating market starts from 3am ! So if you come early maybe you won't miss so much like I did. Sigh.

See those aerial thing ? It is actually a sign of what the boat is selling. 

They even live in the boat. 

Yes ! and even the dog. (: 

The second stop was to visit a few shops along the river. This business belongs to the villagers. (: We stopped at a shop selling products from bees.

They are making coconut candy, I think.

So our next stop is to one of the oldest house there.

And below is a picture of a boat with a pair of eyes in front. The story behind this is that, once upon a time .. The river has a lot of crocodiles in it and the boat was wayyy smaller than it use to be now. So they had to paint the boat this way, so that when the crocodiles saw this huge pair of eyes, they'll be scared and think that there are other creature that is wayy bigger than they are. 

Then we went for durian-picking. As weird as that sound, it does exist. We choose our own durian and then they will serve it in a plate.  They even guarantee that it will be the best. And it WASSS !

They brought us to this. I really don't know how to explain it. But it was a cool experience.

The whole Mekong River Cruise took one whole day. For dinner, we went to VN Halal.

Vietnam 2011 ; Day 1

Last May I had a trip to Vietnam. I was there with my mum and dad and my little brother. We depart on the 25th May at 9:15am, we arrived at Ho Chi Minh City at 10:10 (their time). My dad already have a friend there in Vietnam so he was waiting for us at the airport with a van. Ohhh and he is a travel agent too. He is a muslim, so he knew where to find Halal restaurant and etc.

Our first stop is Halal@Saigon , since we arrived too early for check-in we stopped for brunch first. The place was nice and the food was awesome ! Will surely come back here if I visit Vietnam again.

Yes ! This was how hungry we were. Haha. The food is delicious. We even came back for more the next day. Haha (: Next we went to the War Remnant Museum. I don't know how to describe this place. But basically its a museum with war stuff inside. Especially from the Vietnam War. 

Next stop we visit the Reunification Palace. 

Then we went to see the Post Office, its really nice and quiet actually. It looks more like a historical building, well it is actually. -.-" Ahahaha.

After that we stopped for a while at the park while waiting for our . Its a small park with a Ho Chi Minh statue in the middle. 

At 6:00pm we went to watch the Water Puppet Show. I've never been to one so my first experience. I thought it will be underwater or something. Haha. I know so jakun right ? I don't understand a word they say. But I still enjoyed the show tho. 

Everyone took a nap while waiting for the show to start. 

And our last stop for the day was at the Lion City Restaurant for dinner. 

But we were still hungry cause the food here was only so-so. So we had to make another stop before going to bed. -.-" Such fat people. Haha
